Seafood training centre opened at North Shields
Margaret Fay OBE, chairperson of One North East, officially opened the new Seafood Training Centre at North Shields on Tuesday morning this week. This training centre is supported by Seafish.

SFS launches multi-language website
Scotland's First Minister, Alex Salmond, launched an invaluable web-based seafood Information tool for European seafood buyers, retailers, consumers and journalists at the Brussels seafood last week.

Fuel crisis ‘being taken seriously'
Leaders of The Fishermen's Association said after a meeting with senior Scottish Government officials at the end of April that they felt that the fuel costs crisis was being taken seriously at the highest levels. Seafish mentioned briefly.

Environmental group happy observer scheme extended
