Fish prices may rise by up to 50%

Consumers must be prepared to pay up to 50% more for their fish in order to save Britain's fishing fleets, the government
body responsible for helping the industry said yesterday.

Responsible fishing scheme attracts new entrants

Nine fishermen have signed up for the Responsible Fishing Scheme while completing their NVQ level 3 at the Seafood
Training Centre in North Shields.

Seafish questions scallop fishery closure
